Meet the Artist
it all started with henry
In 2006 I painted a portrait of our dog Henry. He was too adorable when he was little. He was my best friend, and was by my side every minute of every day. And it was this portrait that launched me into my career as a professional pet portrait artist.
We said goodbye to our sweet boy in October of 2018, and it was seriously the worst day ever. As I look at his portrait now I get that rock in my throat. The portrait is now my most cherished and prized possession and will help me keep him close to my heart for many, many years.
And this is why I devote my artistic passions to creating portraits of other's wonderful & unique critters. I know how special that bond is, and it should be celebrated whether our pets are still with us, or have passed.

art is a constant and central part of my life
I paint almost every day in my home studio in Boston, Massachusetts.
My love of creating began at a very young age, fostered by my mother, who made sure there were always crayons, markers and art materials available for my little hands. I'm thankful for her encouragement, and for facilitating my need to create.
Over the years, I've worked professionally as an artist, creating portraits part-time when I got home from work and on weekends. However, in January of 2014 I quit my day job and turned my passion into my full-time gig. It has been the best decision I ever made! Every single day I count my blessings - I paint adorable & very loved pets, while hanging out with my own pets.
Being a full time artist works my creative muscle every day, helping me perfect my techniques as a painter and portrait artist. Process, concentration, and the desire to create highly detailed paintings are all skills used and improved upon every time I sit down at my easel.
